It's the feeling of loneliness natural for human being deprived of his or her homeland, it's the call of the ancestors, which is transferred to us by memory and blood in our veins. It's the memory of my and your grandfathers, great grandfathers… they worked in our land, they protected and secured our land and passed our language, culture, traditions and mentality from generation to generation. This path in history was full of complicated periods. All the houses, historical monuments, roads have been destroyed for the last 80-90 years… The way of living that had been created in centuries and the history of Akkin people was destroyed. All what's left on the deserted land are the tombs of our ancestors, who praised righteousness, honesty and courage. Today we've got the chance to revive our land and retain our people as ethnos, teip.

What's important for any person is to be a part to something. I'm proud to be Akkin and I believe that we together will revive Akka, the holy land of Akkin people…
